Ever since he began his career doing stand-up comedy in the late 80s, Kevin James has become a popular and successful actor and comedian. He is probably best known for portraying Doug Heffernan on the popular sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination back in 2006. He also was nominated for a People's Choice Award in 2017 for his role on the sitcom Kevin Can Wait . In addition to these successful TV shows, James has appeared in numerous films, including Hitch (2005), I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007), Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), Grown Ups (2010), Zookeeper (2011), and Pixels (2015).
